Welcome to the Rotary International Fellowship Costa Blanca North Website

About Us

Image

The Costa Blanca Rotary Fellowship was formed in 1986 to bring together past and present Rotarians, and members of other Rotary associated clubs and all like-minded people with their partners. Members are mainly from the UK. Meetings take place in Moraira and are conducted in English. However, we have quite an International membership with Rotarians from other European countries and worldwide.

Come and Join Us

Meetings follow the Rotary format and fundraising takes place within the Fellowship.. We support both local and international causes and welcome both resident, non-resident and visiting international members from other countries both in Europe and around the world.
The programme is varied and includes some off-site visits and activities, such as a bodega visit, boat trip etc., in addition to traditional events such as a fund-raising auction and a Christmas party. In typical Rotary tradition, the Fellowship generates a lot of humour and fun and cordially extends a warm welcome whether you are making an occasional visit or are here permanently living on the Costa Blanca. There are no membership fees!

Meetings

We meet on most Fridays (except June, July and August, Christmas and New Year period) at Restaurante Casa Lili, Moraira at 1.00pm for 1.30pm to enjoy a three course lunch with wine, listen to an interesting speaker and conduct any current business. If you would like to join us at one of our meetings, or would like more information, please get in touch.

A Message from your Charity Officer

Image

While we all have been in Lock-down, we as a Fellowship have been trying to continue to help the needy—although it has not been possible to ask the agreement of all the Fellowship members in these unusual times, I do hope that you will approve of the donations that we have discussed and approved in Committee by email.
I am always looking for causes to support or help on behalf of the Fellowship. If anyone is aware of any need, please let me know.
Keep safe and well. Regards, Stuart Badman, Charity Officer

Recent Charity Work

The Franciscan Hospice and Refuge

We have donated €500, as they are in desperate need of funds as due to the lock-down their normal donations from the Charity Shop and Library in Javea are closed and unable to raise funds to support them.
The Refuge provides residential care and nursing care for around 50 homeless and ill men who have no other means of support. They receive no State Aid or any Official help so the Brothers rely totally on Charity and Providence. At the moment they are desperate for food, cleaning and personal hygiene products such as toilet paper and shower gel, I do hope that you will agree that these were worthwhile causes to support.

Donation to Caritas Moraira

The Fellowship donated 500 euros to Caritas Moraira to purchase food items

Donation to Ripple Africa

We had a request for help, as they are in urgent needs of funds in Malawi, to assist with the distribution of leaflets which explain the Corona Virus and the need to wash hands
